Don't trust your vehicle to substandard recovery products that could jeopardize you and your vehicle's safety. ARB's vehicle recovery accessories are engineered and manufactured to the highest standards, making them ideal for recreational use as well as competition. Bow Shackles are available in four practical sizes for all your recovery needs.
The updated ARB Essentials Recovery Kit sports a new heavy-duty PVC outer shell and modernized colors. The 600gsm PVC outer provides a rugged exterior that is perfect for recovery situations because it makes cleaning easier and helps keep the bag and its contents from getting damp. Included in the kit is the highly regarded and awarded ARB 17,600lbs vehicle snatch strap. The ARB snatch strap which has been a winner of many recovery strap tests throughout Australia and the world, has a genuine 20% stretch to reduce shock to components on your vehicle and will assist in recovery situations. The ARB Essentials Recovery Kit also includes an ARB 19,800lbs Ultra Light Snatch Block, two type ?S galvanized 4.75t rated shackles, one set of cow grain leather palm with cow split leather back gloves, a 10ft ARB Recovery Tree Protector, and the updated 600gsm PVC recovery bag with multiple compartments highlighted in the ARB topographic styling. When selecting a vehicle recovery strap (snatch strap) it is recommended that the minimum breaking strength of the strap should be between two and three times the gross vehicle mass (GVM) of any vehicle it is used with, and that the strap must be suited to the GVM of the lighter of the two vehicles used in the recovery process. The 17,600lbs recovery strap is therefore suitable for vehicles with a GVM between 5800 and 8800 lbs, encompassing a majority of 4WD vehicles. This is only to be used as a general guide.
Introducing the new ARB Jack Base, designed to suit your ARB Jack or farm jack. The Jack Base provides a safe environment for the user and increases performance of the Jack by limiting slippage or sinking into the ground. One winching precaution is the fitting of a recovery damper prior to a load being applied. In the unlikely event of a wire rope or strap failure, the recovery damper will absorb most of the energy in the cable or strap, significantly reducing the recoil. ARBs recovery damper is manufactured from heavy duty vinyl and features storage pockets which come in handy for carrying snatch blocks and shackles when walking from your 4wd to an anchor point. As recovery dampers are now mandatory accessories for most 4wd competitions, the ARB damper exceeds minimum competition weight requirements.
Introducing the new ARB Premium Recovery Glove, perfect for hand protection and keeping your hands clean during recovery situations, general work on your vehicle or around the campsite. Providing general protection in a stylish design, these gloves are a perfect addition to the glovebox or recovery kit. The ARB Recovery Glove provides knuckle protection as well as palm protection with molded rubber impact guards. These gloves use high quality synthetic materials to reduce abrasion and wear, as well as increase comfort on your hand. The high abrasion resistant material on the inside palm of the glove works well with wire or synthetic rope winch cables. Added protection to the palm and fingers proved a safe, yet good dexterity glove with a firm fitment which reduces pinching hazards. The cuff is embedded with the ARB Recovery logo and high quality touch tape fastener to keep the glove firmly fitted. Finished in a breathable microfiber and ARB Hi-Vis recovery orange (which is great for marshaling or spotting operations), these gloves will complement your already excellent ARB recovery range.
The updated ARB Weekender Recovery kit sports a new heavy-duty PVC outer shell and modernized color. Its slim design allows easy storage in your vehicle or ARB Outback Solutions drawers, and keeps vital recovery equipment at-the-ready. Included in the kit is the high-quality ARB 17,600 lbs snatch strap (ARB705LB), two type ?S Galvanized 4.75T rated shackles, one set of recovery gloves, and the rugged PVC recovery bag featuring dual internal pockets with the ARB topographic design print. Dual compartments provide space for a recovery dampener (ARB220, sold separately) to further complement your weekend recovery setup. When your vehicle is stuck in knee-deep mud, bogged in the desert, or aiding a recovery at the beach, reliability, performance and durability of your recovery gear is paramount. You can rely on ARB recovery products for you and your vehicle's safety.
Strong, reliable recovery points are essential for off-road driving but the lack of industry standards regarding rated tow points has caused confusion among four wheel drivers for many years. With this in mind, ARB has sought to set an industry benchmark for how recovery points are designed, tested and selected by 4WDers. ARB's recovery point range seeks to address issues surrounding generic tow points and their unsuitability for a range of recovery situations. These issues include questionable and untested mounting locations, confusion regarding the selection of rated shackles and straps, and the inability of generic tow points to safely handle stresses generated by an angled pull during vehicle recovery. ARB aims to make it easy to find the correct recovery point for each individual customer with an engineered ?Recovery Train' in which each vehicle specific recovery point is rated for use with a 4.75t rated bow shackle and 17,600lbs snatch strap.

This ability to stretch is a distinction between a snatch strap and a tow strap, ARB Snatch Strap is elastic when under load whereas a tow strap is not, the benefits of which are twofold. Firstly, the kinetic energy generated by the elasticity actually aids the recovery itself, and secondly, the elasticity greatly reduces the likelihood of vehicle damage during recovery. The enormous weight of each 4x4 and the weighted force of whatever caused the immobilization puts enormous strain on the point where the strap is attached, and without some elasticity, there is a substantial risk of damaging the vehicle. For vehicle recovery, a snatch strap is more suitable than a tow strap.

Staying safe is paramount in recovery situations, and having properly rated gear is key. The ARB Soft Connect Shackle has been updated with UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecule Weight Polyethylene) high tensile, CE certified, synthetic rope. UHMWPE rope is used in many of the synthetic rope applications on winches and purpose-built tow straps. Rated at 14.5T breaking strength, the ARB Soft Connect Shackle is engineered to float in water, be resistant to short-term UV radiation, and provide superior strength. Updating the protection to the UHMWPE rope in the ARB soft shackle, the UHMWPE synthetic rope is encased in a high tensile, braided shield. The braided shield improves abrasion resistance to protect the UHMWPE synthetic rope and further protect against cuts and abrasions when in use. The larger soft shackle connection is formed by passing the large ball end knot through the open loop, the loop then tightens around the knot when used and pulls securely against the large formed knot during recovery. The knot cannot let go and loop tightens securely around the knot forming the connection. The ARB Soft Connect Shackle is suitable for vehicles up to 3.5T GVM and has a breaking strain of 14.5T. The ARB Soft Connect Shackle acts as a fuse in a recovery situation, breaking generally before any rated metal components that it is attached to should break. This removes flying metal projectiles in recovery situations and provides a safer recovery for persons involved in the recovery and bystanders. The Soft Connect Shackle also provides flexibility for attaching your strap to a rated recovery point. Always follow correct recovery procedures and put safety for you and everyone else first before attempting any recovery. Protecting and storing your ARB Soft Connect Shackle when not in use is done with the included drawstring carry bag. The bag incorporates a mesh and nylon case to allow for sufficient drying as well as protecting and providing easy storage in your recovery kit.
When using a tree as an anchor point in a recovery situation, wrapping cable, rope or chain around it causes damage to both your equipment and the tree. Tree trunk protectors help eliminate the risk of ring barking and ensure safe vehicle recovery while keeping your recovery gear undamaged and anchor point unharmed.

An ARB winch extension strap is a lightweight non-stretch strap that is perfect for extending the length of your winch's cable when the most suitable anchor point is out of reach.
