Meet the Manager, Wes & Kent Thompson
Our Ottawa store is run by the Thompson brothers who have been in the business for almost 40 years combined. Kent always loved the outdoors and enjoys camping with his family. His absolute favorite place is Poisson Blanc. He canoes to one of the little islands and sets up camp with his two daughters - they usually have the whole island to themselves. No wonder they spend all their summers there. And also winters - yep, winter camping is a thing and it brings some interesting challenges. They also enjoy hiking or snowshoeing at Luskville Falls. Wes who loves fishing, fires, swimming, boating...basically anything camping related often joins them with his family. He also plays soccer and loves road-tripping all around North America. Kent drives a Hyundai Accent 4 door 2015 that he outfitted with a Thule wing bar rack with a portage canoe carrier and a Hull-a-port XT. He uses a Hollywood Trail rider bike rack with the 1 1/4 Curt hitch. Wes drives a 2013 Hyundai Sonata with the Thule wingbar/480R roof rack, Motion XL Black cargo box and Thule doubletrack pro for his bikes.
