Q: Are traditional tools required to install this?
A: No! Any tools required for installing this rack product come included in the box!
Q: Can this rack be used on any roof rack?
A: Unfortunately, no. The [Product_Name] can only be used with Thule roof racks. Many factory roof racks are unable to support the stress put on the bars leveraging your kayaks over the side of the vehicle. For this reason Thule only allows this rack to be used with Thule brand roof racks.
Q: Does the Hullavator actually lift my boats for me?
A: The Hullavator lowers to the side of your car. You will still need to lift your kayak to around waist height, but it's totally possible to lift it just one end at a time. Once it's loaded up at the side of your vehicle the rack will lift nearly all the weight of the boat needing just a light guiding hand from you.
Q: Do I need bow and stern tie-downs?
A: Absolutely. It's the law for a reason, it's the only safe way to carry your boats. Many of our canoe and kayak racks come with tie downs, if not you can buy them separately.
